Frankincense Concentrate

Boswellia sacra in Cocos nucifera

Frankincense Concentrate is our latest specialty carrier oil--this is a macerated oil, which we do at our own facility in Muscat, Oman.

After distillation, which removes the volatiles (terpenes, terpenols, ethers, etc, essential oil and hydrosol), the heavier molecules remain behind as they don't come over in the steam. Our lab reports indicate presence of beta-boswellic acids, 11-keto-beta-boswellic acids, and 3-acetyl-11-keto-beta boswellic acids (AKBA) in our spent resin, which is also available as a powder.

Our long and gentle process provides a smooth and slow transfer of these constituents into fractionated coconut oil. Our lab reports indicate the positive migration of these Boswellic acids and further tests are ongoing.

The oil is very thick and rich, and it’s great as a spot treatment, meaning over a small area, and not over the entire body, as it's very strong.

But it's really good as part of a topical use oil, at 5%, 10%, or even 20%. If you like to DIY, you can use basically as you would Arnica, Rosehip Seed or even Callophyllum or Calendula. Just add to your favorite base along with whichever other oils and essential oils you love.

We can’t claim any medicinal benefits, as we’re not doctors, but Boswellic acids are considered to have benefits against joint pain, arthritis, inflammatory bowel and asthma, as well as in vitro tests against certain cancers. A google search will be fruitful.

What we can claim is that this oil is beautiful, and it’s deeply satisfying to use.

This product not contain any essential oils.
