Not to be confused with Australian Sandalwood, Buddha Wood has a similar woody and smooth body with a strong and comforting smokey note, some might say reminiscent of a campfire. Other tendrils come as pepper, leather and balsam/vanilla.
Studies have shown Buddha Wood to be an insecticide, termiticide and some anti-bacterial actions.
In Perfumery, Buddha Wood is quite unusual and would combine well with black pepper, ginger, opoponax, frankincense, ylang ylang, vanilla and balsam fir.
